Two Beers and a Pretzel

I saw this and had to share…

In 1996 I took over the webmaster duties for the Greater Cincinnati Aquarium Society.

Back then, the browser wars were in full effect, so every website had one of two icons at the bottom of the page that said “Best Viewed with Netscape” or “Best Viewed using Internet Explorer”. I decided that the GCAS website was browser neutral, so the best way to truly enjoy the site was with two beers and a pretzel.

Accordingly, I created the icon:

Eventually, I bought the domain name and held it for a number of years - until finally finding an appropriate use for it with this travel blog.

So as you browse the internet, just remember that the only way to truly enjoy the menagerie that is the world wide web is with Two Beers and a Pretzel!!!
